Popcorn & the Superbowl

We decided to watch the SuperBowl. We usually do every year. Our family loves to play sports, but we don't watch them very often. We brought the big TV upstairs to our living room. (We are one of those weird families that doesn't have a TV in our living room. :)
We had chips and salsa and I made popcorn. :) Savory & Sweet.

Make Popcorn. I like to Cook it on the stove in our big black pot (with a lid) on the stove. I add about 1/4 C. of Coconut oil and 1 C. popcorn kernels. Turn it to Medium High heat. (When cooking in a pot, make sure when the pops start slowing down, lift up the pot a few inches above the stove top and hold it there until the pops stop. Then the popcorn won't burn. :)

Savory:

Garlic powder

Sea salt

Italian seasoning.

Sweet- Molasses Taffy Popcorn

In a nonstick pot on the stove add:

1/4 C. Molasses

1/2 C. Raw honey

1/4 C. Coconut oil

Boil for 3-4 minutes

Add 1 tsp. Vanilla extract.
Pour over about 6-8 C. Cooked popcorn.

Stir well.

Serve warm or cooled.

I got this recipe from my friends family cookbook. The Author of this sweet Popcorn is Carole Lynne.
